Gather ‘round, Freaks!

We’ve got three new bands to add to the lineup!

Short update this time, but it’s about quality not quantity and you know we’re all about bringing you both. Wait what? Doesn’t matter, stay focused. The point is we’ve got three new bands to add to the lineup for Freak Valley 2018 and we think they are going to bring something really excellent to the bill.

Before we dive in, we have to say thanks again for the tremendous support we’ve received coming into this year’s fest. We’ve never been more excited about a lineup than we are right now, and we can’t wait to welcome you all to Freak Valley on May 30!

In the meantime, please welcome Asteroid, Radar Men from the Moon & Galactic Superlords to the lineup!

ASTEROID

Back from recent hiatus, Swedish fuzz rockers Asteroid remain one of a kind when it comes to tonal warmth, melody and songwriting. Simply put, they’re one of the best bands around and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have them back in time to take part in Freak Valley 2018 as an exclusive German show! If you heard their ‘III’ album on Fuzzorama Records, you know what we’re talking about, and if you didn’t, well, there’s still time and you should probably get on that. Like, right now. Go. They’re always something special on stage, and as they’re just back from a break, we expect they’ll be refreshed and ready to take on Freak Valley with everything they’ve got. Can’t wait. Can. Not. Wait.

RADAR MEN FROM THE MOON

Are you ready to get drunk with God? In December, Eindhoven’s Radar Men from the Moon issued their most progressive outing to-date, ‘Subversive III: De Spelende Mens.’ Always experimental, this release brought the Dutch trio to new levels of krautrock exploration, rife with creative energy and pulsations organic and electronic. What will they have in store for Freak Valley? We’re not sure, but we know it’s going to be far out and we know there’s no way in hell we’re going to miss it.

GALACTIC SUPERLORDS

This five-piece from Cologne will be playing their LP release show for their debut album on none other than Rock Freaks Records, and you know we don’t get behind endorsing a band like that unless they bring something killer in sound and performance. Driven by Maiden-style dueling guitars, classic heavy rock riffing, and the right-on vocals of frontwoman Katharina Heldt, they gave a sampling of their wares last Fall with the ‘Nowhere to Hide’ single, and we happen to have the inside track that their performance at Freak Valley will one to remember!
